teaching Karma to trust people

4/30-5/1

Karma is starting to settle in at my house. She does still give a small hiss when she see's me, but after that she is fine with my handling her and her babies. She will eat treats from my hand and has allowed me to brush her. She is so gentle taking treats. She is also litter box trained. I have a non-clumping litter box set up for her (so the babies don't inhale that dust) and she uses it! I was so relieved when she finally used the box (it took her 2 days).

The kittens are all doing really well. I think their eyes are slowly starting to open. Last night when I took a photo they flinched from the flash so I think they are starting to see something. They are pretty mobile already and climb on and over mom. They don't really walk, its more or an army crawl :-). They have also become much more vocal. In the beginning, just the little white & tabby one would cry now they all meow.

I did notice one of the kittens is sneezing a bit so we are going to hold off on moving everyone to Kathy's home until we know for sure they don't have anything contagious. Plus I worry that moving Karma so soon would set her back. So she will be with me another week. Tomorrow I'll post photo's of each baby and give some details. The older they get the more personality I'm starting to see.
